Skilling Trader & cTrader bonus terms
- Overall account equity (or account value) is lost in the following order: first cash balance, up until the point the cash balance reaches the bonus amount; then remaining cash balance, together with the bonus balance, as per points (2) and (3) below.
- The bonus amount cannot exceed the cash balance.
- In the scenario, where cash balance drops below the bonus amount, the bonus is adjusted to the same amount as cash balance. Conversely, when cash balance increases, the bonus is increased up to the amount originally granted ($30).
- The cash balance can be withdrawn; however, the bonus amount will be adjusted, as per point (3).
Example:
- You fund your account with a minimum of $100 and receive a bonus of $30. Your total account equity (account value) becomes $130, of which $100 is your cash balance and $30 is your bonus balance.
- You open a EURUSD position, and the market moves against you. You suffer a loss of $50.
- Your cash balance is lost first. The $50 loss is deducted from your cash balance, making it $50.
- As bonus balance cannot exceed cash balance, the bonus balance is proportionally adjusted from $30 to $15 as well
- So your total account equity (account value) becomes:
$100
+ $30 bonus
- $50 (loss deducted from initial cash balance)
- $15 (bonus adjustment to the new cash balance)
=$65.
Of this $65, $50 is the new cash balance and $15 is the new bonus balance. The bonus balance has been adjusted from $30 to $15 to not exceed the new cash balance of $100 - $50 = $50 - Conversely, if the same EURUSD position moves in your favour and you earn $30, your new cash balance becomes $50 + $30 = $80, your bonus balance is now also reinstated from $15 to $24, making your total account equity (account value) become $104 — $80 (new cash balance) + $24 (new bonus balance)
MetaTrader 4 bonus terms
- Overall account equity (or account value) is lost in the following order: first cash balance, then bonus balance.
- The bonus is lost if the entire cash balance is withdrawn.
Example:
- You fund your account with a minimum of $100 and receive a bonus of $30. Your total account equity (account value) becomes $130, of which $100 is your cash balance and $30 is your bonus balance.
- You open a EURUSD position, and the market moves against you. You suffer a loss of $80.
- Your cash balance is lost first, making your total account equity (account value) $130 - $80 = $50, of which $20 is the new cash balance and $30 is the bonus balance (unchanged).
- You open another EURUSD position and suffer another loss of $40. Your new account equity becomes $50 - $40 = $10, of which $20 is deducted from your new cash balance, making it $20 - $20 = $0; and the remaining $20 is deducted from your bonus balance, making it $30 - $20 = $10.
- You open your last position, and earn $30. Your final cash balance becomes $0 + $30 = $30 and final bonus balance remains unchanged at $10, making your final total account equity $30 + $10 = $40.
